Install and connect MochiPay Payment Assistant

The extension is free to install. Creating payment requests requires an active MochiPay merchant subscription and a receiving wallet.

1. Download and install

Use desktop Chrome 116 or later. Download and extract the ZIP to a permanent folder. Keep this folder after installation.

Download extension 1.0.1 ZIP
  1. Open Chrome's extensions page: chrome://extensions
  2. Turn on Developer mode in the top-right corner.
  3. Click Load unpacked and select the folder containing manifest.json.
  4. Pin MochiPay from Chrome's extensions menu to open it from the toolbar.

2. Connect your merchant account

Click Get connection code in the extension. The connection form stays open in a separate tab while the merchant dashboard opens.

Sign in, open Chrome Payment Assistant, enter a device name and generate a code. Copy it, return to the extension tab, paste it and click Connect.

The code expires in 10 minutes and can be used once. The connection lasts 90 days. You do not need an API Key or API Secret.

3. Create and share a payment

Enter the amount and currency, choose a crypto payment method and add an optional note. Click Create payment link, then copy the link or show its QR to your customer.

A 100 USD request is converted to crypto using an available rate. An active receiving wallet is required. If no rate is available, choose the crypto itself as the order currency.

The QR opens the payment page. The customer follows that page to pay the exact amount on the correct network.

Recent orders shows your latest 20 orders. After a network interruption, use Recover payment link to recover the same request before creating another one.

4. Check payments and enable notifications

Check recent orders for server-confirmed payment status. To receive browser alerts, open Settings, enable Payment received notifications and allow Chrome's permission request.

The assistant checks about once a minute while Chrome runs and follows up to 100 previously loaded pending orders. Sleep, offline mode or disabled notifications can delay alerts. Old paid orders do not trigger new alerts.

5. Disconnect or update

To remove access, disconnect in the extension or revoke it in the merchant dashboard. Password changes invalidate connections. Existing orders are kept.

To update, replace the files in the same extension folder, then click Reload on its card at chrome://extensions. Do not delete the folder or uninstall the extension.
